Tribute to Jack Sterett

TEK pioneer and Howard Vollum Award Recipient

On June 5 at 4 a.m., Jack Sterett passed away without pain. Jack’s health had gradually declined after his wife Deanna passed away last year. Since that time, several friends visited Jack regularly, right up to the last zoom call on June 4; his son Phil and daughter-in-law Susan were able to visit him in person the previous day.

Jack was a passionate contributor and project manager of many state-of-the-current-art products, from the 4002 to the 4219 and was a winner of the prestigious Howard Vollum Award. Many of us will remember the spirit and passion that he brought to everything he did giving many of us life-long learning and stories.
